앞에서 잠깐 말했던 것처럼, 그 후 4년이 지난 2005년의

유난히 추웠던 겨울 Lau는 인문의 열망으로 한국의 마산과

함안에 와 두번의 무대에서 깊은 춤을 추었다. 아래에 그녀가

오기까지의 어려웠던 과정 내내 춤꾼과 춤에 홀린자 사이에

오고 간 이메일 교신들 중의 일부로 채워져 있다.

2005, 9월 어느날

Dear Lau!

Thanks for your speedy reply.
This morning I sent a letter regarding our winter plan
to Sook, the flamenco dancer n  president of
Kyungnam women artists who said would help me for it.
I met the dancing institute owner,P, who
suggested that she pay you USD 800.OO for 30 hours (
5hrs  per day) as the fee for the lesson in case of
your staying here for two weeks or so.
She said that she wants to have some lessons from
Laurena, hoping to get fundmental body movements
through the lesson( together with several of her
ladies students?). A tango dancer(she said),perhaps
the lesson of 5 hours a day and  15 days can give her
essential concept and Zapateato for the flamenco
dancing. I will go on discussing  with her about your
giving lessens in concrete.

In a word, Let's think that You come here to do two
things- one is perform and the other is to give
lessons. For the latter  Please pass me your idea( how
much per hours is okay for the lesson?)

For the former the prospect is brighter because I
stand now on much wider and concreter ground than
before.

I have a couple of questions about Korean culture,
 please, as I do not want  
to offend anyone.
 
1. May I wear a dress with no sleeves for
 performing, or is it preferred  
that the woman's arms are covered?
  
2. May I wear pants for other engagements, lectures
 and general daily  wear?

​Dear Lau:

any pants and dress would be okay,if you looks more
beautiful with it.No problem.
But It is more important to me for you to be
in good healthy than to look attractive in cold
winter.
