200711- Porlland and Cadiz

For over 20 years a leaflet with an image printed on it has been kept in my study. In July, 2020 the image is ready to be reprinted on the front cover of the book titled Landscapes Invisible. During my first trip to Portland in 1999 I got it somewhere near the Pioneer Square in the downtown of the beautiful city.

The leaflet has reminded me of Portland and the Portlanders alive in my memory.//

In expectation of sharing with Portlanders the eagle head-shaped image on the book cover , symbolizing Portland, Oregon. The 2000 Pearl District Festival of the beautiful city for the first time let me see a street flamenco show. Had I not traveled to Portland 2001,it would be impossible for me to write and publish Landscapes Invisible, a fact-fiction on flamenco now.

​2) In expectation of sharing with flamenco lovers the caracol-shaped image on the book cover which alludes Cadiz, Andalucia , the white city by the sea, where Enrique el Mellizo, the gypsy flamenco singer was born.
